Hello!
My name is Emily de Santos and I'm a photographer/videographer based in El Paso, Texas.
I graduated from Texas Tech University with a degree in Electronic Media and Communication and a minor in Film Studies. I worked as a photojournalist throughout my college years and after graduation I worked for the University of Texas at Austin. After my stint at UT, I found my way back to Texas Tech. I spent three years as a producer at Texas Tech Public Media. During that time, I won a Lone Star Emmy for my work on the documentary, Minor Injustice. I moved to El Paso to challenge myself in the Public Relations world. I spent three years as the Video Production specialist for Socorro ISD where I got to share amazing stories from our district with the community. During my time at SISD, I received awards from TSPRA and NSPRA. Currently, I’m back in the public media world! I’m the managing producer at PBS El Paso so feel free to reach out with story ideas.
